Total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passed directly between the Sun and the Moon and make it totally covered by shadow.
This phenomenon will be visible from most areas in North America. Those who live in Canada and the United States is fortunate because the people who are in the most appropriate position. But this scene can also be enjoyed by both by those who live in Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Central Asia and East Asia.
"Not only to be colored red, the Moon will also look bigger because the moon illusion," said NASA scientist, as quoted from Space, December 10, 2010. "Nevertheless it is not yet fully understood by astronomers," he said.
In fact, the Moon is not enlarged, only the human brain sees it differently. Unfortunately, those who live in the western United States alone will be able to see the enlarged moon phenomenon.
